Record ID

Creates a new column in the data and assigns a unique identifier, that increases sequentially, for each record in the data.

Lets start off by analyzing the data.

Drag the record ID tool to the canvas. We have settings in configuration window. Changing the settings is optional. We have the option to change the Name, the starting value, type and position. In this example, I will leave the configuration settings as the default and run the workflow and then show you the before and after results. We can see a new field was added called record ID, which assigned a unique identifier, that increases sequentially.
